Texas RE has a mission: To ensure electric reliability for Texans. We’re proud of the work that we do for the ERCOT Interconnection. Join us, and you can take pride in meaningful work, too.

Texas RE is committed to attracting top talent from a diverse candidate pool. During the interview process, candidates will meet with a cross-section of Texas RE employees who bring a broad set of perspectives to the discussion. Our inclusive, friendly work environment encourages employees to collaborate across and outside of our organization, while also offering opportunities for personal growth. Our team of professional, technical, and administrative staff derives its collective strength from our varied backgrounds.

Our Culture

Texas RE offers the flexibility of working for a small organization combined with the security of working for an established not-for-profit company. Employees work a hybrid scheduled consisting of at least two days in the office with the option of working three days remotely. Additional in-office work may be required depending on project scopes. Additionally, employees have the option to take advantage of Flexible Friday, where employees may shift working hours to earlier in the week instead of on Friday after noon.

You will work in a close-knit team with talented, knowledgeable coworkers. Here, everyone’s input is valued, and you’ll be given the opportunity to grow and develop your career with the company.

You will benefit from a range of knowledge-building experiences. In the ERCOT region electricity industry, you’ll not only gain insight into the operations of a range of industry players – public and private, federal and state – you’ll learn all aspects of compliance, regional to national.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee

Goal: Promote and foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion, which creates a welcoming environment for all employees.

To achieve these goals, the DEI Committee will

  • Respect each individual employee’s right to participate (or not). Protect the confidentiality of any information shared with Committee members and encourage employees to do the same
  • Encourage employees to maintain respectful relationships and facilitate meaningful staff interactions
  • Communicate educational materials designed to raise awareness of diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Promote ideas and events to further the spirit of diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Provide a safe environment for employees to share information and personal experiences
  • Benchmark the diversity, equity, and inclusion program against those of our peers

We believe that our work towards achieving these goals will help Texas RE attract top talent and expertise, facilitate better problem solving, promote a way of thinking that is more objective, and assure effective and efficient reduction of risks to the reliability and security of the bulk power system.
