Join us for a joint regional webinar hosted by the Midwest Reliability Organization (MRO) and Texas RE featuring members of the Modernization of Standards Processes and Procedures Task Force (MSPPTF). This session will provide an overview of the task force’s forthcoming white paper, which outlines potential improvement opportunities regarding how NERC develops its Reliability Standards.

The white paper will be available for public comment from July 22 through August 27.

It focuses on three core areas:

• Standards initiation
• Standards development
• Standards balloting

These potential improvement opportunities take into account feedback from a recent industry survey and are intended to enhance efficiency while maintaining transparency and a collaborative stakeholder process. The MSPPTF was established by the NERC Board of Trustees to identify ways to modernize standards processes in response to the evolving risk landscape. The webinar will include time for questions and answers with task force members.
